Highbridge
park tidied by youngsters during 'Dreamscheme' event

Youngsters
in Highbridge tidied up the town's Apex Park on Monday (February
16th) as part of a new youth project that encourages them to improve
their local community while earning rewards.
Dozens
of youngsters are taking part in the Dreamscheme initiative, which
sees people aged 8-16 take part in community work and gain points
that can be used towards day trips and other activities.
On
Monday afternoon, during this week's half-term holidays, the youngsters
collected large amounts of rubbish from across Apex, which was
then bagged up and taken away.
PCSO
Claire Chambers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It is a great opportunity
for the young people of Highbridge to have some fun, whilst contributing
to their neighbourhood at the same time."
The
Highbridge Dreamscheme has been set up by the Children and Young
Persons Sub-Committee of the Local Action Team for Highbridge
alongside the Highbridge Police. If you are interested in joining
the Highbridge Dreamscheme, see the official website available
