Half
term holiday fun planned for Highbridge Dreamscheme members
Highbridge's
Dreamscheme is set to kick back into action over the Half Term
Holiday Week.
On
Wednesday May 27th, the group will hold a special Car Wash at
Burnham-On-Sea Fire Station from 1.30pm - 5.30pm.
"Our
young people will be equipped with buckets, sponges, water and
shampoo and are inviting the community to come along and get their
vehicles cleaned for a donation," PCSO Claire Chambers told
Burnham-On-Sea.com.
The
schedule will continue on Thursday May 28th when the Asda Police
POD will be open for the day from 12pm-3pm. Local people will
be able to meet Inspector Sam Williams from Burnham Police Station.
PCSO
Chambers added: "Bob Telfer from Devon and Somerset Fire
Service will also be available to speak with regarding fire safety
and Highbridge's local PCSOs will be attending, along with some
of the POD volunteers, to discuss community concerns you may have
and to mark pedal cycles and mobile phones."
Highbridge's
Dreamscheme was set up by the Children and Young Persons Sub-Committee
of the Local Action Team for Highbridge, alongside Highbridge
Police. It involves young people aged 8-16 taking part in community
work in return for points that can be used towards day trips and
other activities. If you are interested in joining, see the official
website here.
