Dreamscheme
group's litter pick helps Highbridge In Bloom bid

Young
members of Highbridge's Dreamscheme launched a big clean-up operation
in the town to ensure it was tidy before the visit of judges from
the Britain In Bloom competition.
The
enthusiastic group of 20 children and the group's leaders collected
several sackfuls of rubbish, as pictured, to help the Southwell
House and Gardens Committee prepare for the all-important visit.
Burnham-On-Sea.com reported here
how the judging went.
Highbridge's
Dreamscheme was set up by the Children and Young Persons Sub-Committee
of the Local Action Team for Highbridge, alongside Highbridge
Police.
It
involves young people aged 8-16 taking part in community work,
such as litter picks, in return for points that can be used towards
day trips and other activities. If you are interested in joining,
see the official
website here.
