Two arrests after police carry out drugs raids

A
man was arrested after a quantity of drugs was seized in a dramatic
police raid on a property in the centre of Highbridge on Monday
morning (March 30th).
These
were the scenes in Church Street as officers swooped on a home
at 10am, forcing their way in through the front door, before carrying
out a search and then making an arrest.
Police
spokesman Steve Game told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I can confirm
that we executed a drugs warrant in Church Street on Monday."
"A
30 year-old man was arrested of suspicion of possession of heroin
and theft offences. He has been bailed pending further enquiries."
It
comes just weeks after Burnham-On-Sea.com first reported
here that Highbridge residents had decided tackling drug dealing
in the town should be the number one priority for police.
A
further drugs raid took place in Burnham on Tuesday morning (March
31st). Police arrested a man after executing a drugs warrant in
Rosewood Close at 8am.
