Fire crews called to help drunken man in ditch near Burnham-On-Sea

Five fire crews from across Somerset were called to West Huntspill, near Burnham-On-Sea, early on Sunday (May 10th) after a drunken man became trapped in a ditch.

Fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea, plus others from Bridgwater, Taunton and Glastonbury were sent to Withy Road at 12.27am.

A fire spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "On their arrival, the crews found the male had been released from the water. A paramedic was at the scene and crews assisted them with two casualties."
