Steam sighting prompts call-out
for Burnham-On-Sea fire crews
Burnham-On-Sea
fire crews were called to Berrow on Monday afternoon (January
12th) after steam was seen billowing from a building.
The alarm was raised at
3.22pm by
a resident near to the building in Church House Road and two fire
engines from Burnham were sent to investigate.
"A large amount of steam had
been seen emerging from
a boiler pipe near the roof of the property, but the fire crews
found no sign of any fire," spokesman Paul Slavin told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"This was a false alarm with good intent."
Meanwhile,
fire crews were also called to Church Street in Highbridge at
8.30pm on Saturday evening after another false alarm.
