Burnham-On-Sea
fire crews called to blaze in sand dunes

These
were the scenes on Brean beach on Saturday evening (May 30th)
as Burnham-On-Sea fire crews tackled a blaze in the sand dunes.
A
barbecue that had been lit on the edge of the dunes, close to
the Seagull Inn, set 20 square metres of grass on fire.
Two
fire engines rushed to the scene at 4.45pm and crews used fire
beaters and a water jet to dampen down the grass and ensure the
fire did not spread.
