youngsters shown live on Sky Sports!
Two
excited young football fans from Burnham-On-Sea got their faces
on Sky Sports and met several top players when they became mascots
for a Division One game.
Fraser
McDiarmid, 11, and Finley McDiarmid, 7, who both attend St Joseph's
School in Burnham, walked out with the players at the start of
the game between Leicester City and Yeovil Town on Monday at Huish
Park.
"Both
love their football and play for Burnham United Junior Football
Club. Fraser is a goal keeper for the under 11s and Finley is
a defender for the under 8s," mum Vickie McDiarmid told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"They
had a fantastic evening, which started with them meeting all the
Leicester City players and manager Nigel Pearson."
"Fraser
and Finley also met Matty Fryatt, who is the leading goal scorer
for Leicester, and is in fact the leading goal scorer in the whole
of the Football League with a total of 23 goals in all competitions
so far this season."
"The
evening was topped off by Fraser and Finley being shown live on
Sky Sports, which was spotted by lots of their friends and even
their head master, Simon Kingwell!"
"Of course, it was a great result for Leicester City of 2-0,
which sent them seven points clear at the top of League One."
The
pair are following in the footsteps of Vickie, who was the first
girl mascot for Leicester City back in 1977. The family are Leicester
City season ticket holders.
