Surfacing work to begin on Burnham-On-Sea’s Frank Foley Parkway

-

Work to surface Burnham-On-Sea’s Frank Foley Parkway is going ahead this week in readiness for the scheduled opening of the road later this month.

Work to build the missing link, between Love Lane in Burnham and Pepperall Road in Highbridge, got underway in March, as reported here, and final plans are now being made for the opening.

Town Council Clerk Eileen Show said on Monday that work to tarmac the surface of the road will go-ahead this week. “We have been reassured by the County Council that the opening will go ahead during June,” she added.

A new mini-roundabout is also to be completed near the southern end of the Frank Foley Parkway, at the junction of Pepperall Road and Burnham Road, prior to the opening.
