Police investigate early morning break-in at Highbridge hair salon

Police have begun their investigations into a break-in at a hair salon in the centre of Highbridge during the early hours of Sunday morning (March 8th).

A window was smashed at Inspired Hair Academy in Church Street, as pictured, at 3.40am and almost £100 of hair products were stolen by the thief, who fled the scene.

Blood was left splattered over the broken glass and part of a hammer that was understood to have been used to smash the glass was also found at the scene.

The shocked owner of the business was carrying out a clean-up operation on Sunday so that the shop can re-open for business as normal on Monday.

Anyone with information that could help police with their enquiries should call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
