Police received just four reports of anti-social behaviour across Burnham-On-Sea during a quiet Halloween night on Saturday (October 31st).

Halloween is traditionally one of the busiest nights of the year for police across the country, but this year’s celebrations bucked the trend in Burnham.

Inspector Roger Tolley told Burnham-On-Sea.com that officers had attended incidents in Rosewood Avenue, Cunningham Road, Jaycroft Road and Marine Drive.

“At 7pm we were called to Rosewood Avenue where a group of youths had been reported to be throwing eggs at a house,” he said.

“However, we received just four Halloween-related calls during the whole evening, so it was a very small minority who caused problems during what was a safe and fun evening for the majority of people in Burnham.”
