Staff and pupils at Burnham-On-Sea Infants School have this week bid a fond farewell to head teacher Sue Horne.

Mrs Horne has retired from her position after a long and successful career.

Fellow staff members presented her with a cake and held a party to say a formal goodbye, as pictured here.

She said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support over the years and wish you all a very happy Easter. I would also like to wish Mr Marsh every success as he takes on the role of acting head teacher for the summer term, following my retirement.”

Deputy Andrew Marsh will be leading the school for the summer term after the Easter break.
