Police issue appeal for witnesses after spate of Highbridge incidents

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses after a series of serious incidents in Highbridge this week.

Police were first called to a disturbance at a property in Charlotte Court, Highbridge at about 5pm on Tuesday (February 10th). Occupants of the property were assaulted and items taken.

There was a further incident at a property in Church Street at about 5.30pm, where a front communal door was damaged.

And a further incident then occurred in the Market Street and Bank Street car park between 5.40pm-6pm in the town when a man and a woman were assaulted by a large group of people – as first reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com earlier this week.

The victims were taken to Weston General Hospital and released the following day.

Police are keen to trace potential witnesses where any of the incidents occurred and anyone with any information is asked to contact Bridgwater CID on 0845 4567000.

Police confirmed to Burnham-On-Sea.com that a 21-year-old man from Bridgwater has been charged with battery.
