2009 Burnham-On-Sea's
carnival club celebrates success in home town
Burnham-On-Sea's Hillview Carnival Club celebrated into
the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, November 10th) after
a triumphant appearance at their home town carnival.
The
club's Gee Wiz float won the award for the best entry in the Juvenile
category - the third in a row.
It
meant it was three wins out of three for the club, after victories
at North Petherton last Saturday and Bridgwater last Friday.
Many
of the club's members attended a celebration party at Burnham's
Ritz Social Club on Monday night - and the club is now aiming
for a fourth win at Shepton Mallet on Wednesday evening (November
11th).
The
Hillview float cost £14,000 and is a 100ft long entry lit
with 12,500 lights.
