Burnham-On-Sea
fire crews help free trapped horse from ditch
Burnham-On-Sea
fire crews helped to pull a stranded horse out of a ditch in Brent
Knoll on Sunday afternoon (May 24th).
The
race horse had become stuck on farmland near Station Road and
the alarm was raised when a nearby resident spotted the animal
in a distressed state.
Fire
crews from Burnham-On-Sea and Weston-super-Mare attended the scene
and used specialised machinery to haul the animal free.
"It
was quite a long incident and took several hours to be fully resolved,"
Burnham fire station officer Ian Hazelton told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
