West presenter meets crew of Burnham-On-Sea hovercraft

ITV
West news presenter Peter Rowell met crewmembers of Burnham-On-Sea's
Light Of Elizabeth hovercraft during his visit to a popular fundraising
event near Bridgwater this week.
The
familiar face from ITV1's regional news programmes was the special
guest at Storgursey's annual It's A Knockout event, which raises
money for local charities.
BARB,
the charity that operates Burnham's life-saving hovercrafts, was
one of the local charities chosen to benefit from this year's
event.
"Peter
talked to several of our crew and was very interested to hear
about a busy summer of rescues along the Somerset coastline,"
said BARB's Dave Bailey.
Stogursey's
It's a Knockout was formed nine years ago and has raised almost
£40,000 for local charities. The event sees competitors
taking part in a series of fun challenges and activities, similar
to the classic TV show.
