Burnham-On-Sea
restaurant celebrates five star accolade

at a tea rooms in Burnham-On-Sea are celebrating this week after
being told they offer a 'five star service'.

Welsh's in the High Street is one of only a handful of restaurants
and cafes in the town to earn a coveted 5-star rating in Somerset's
Food Scores scheme, which assesses food hygiene and cleanliness.
Owners
Jeff and Jackie Welsh are now proudly displaying a sticker in
their front window showing the five stars.
"We're
delighted to be recognised in this way," Jeff told Burnham-On-Sea.com
this week. "It's a testament to our staff who keep up the
high standards."
Every
food premises in Sedgemoor is inspected by the district council's
Food Safety Team who give ratings on how well the premises comply
with legal requirements, cleanliness and structure.
Anna
Hardman, Sedgemoor's Food Safety Manager, said: "This is
a system that allows customers and clients to see how their school,
hospital, favourite sandwich bar or special occasion restaurant
complies with food hygiene regulations."
