Highbridge
sixth formers meet TV actresses during student forum
Sixth
form students from Highbridge's King Alfred School who took part
in a Somerset Student Forum last week got a surprise when they
met two TV stars at the event!
The
group were attending a forum for students at Somerset College
of Arts and Technology in Taunton.
A
wide range of issues relating to student life were discussed,
with questions being put to a panel of professionals dealing with
young people.
They
also heard from Kathryn and Megan Prescott from the E4 TV series
Skins
and then met the duo afterwards, as pictured here.
Jonathan
Gaskell, Head of Sixth Form at King Alfred School, told Burnham-On-Sea.com:
"Questions put to the panel were intelligent and demanding
and focused on how Somerset services could better provide for
post-16 aged students."
"The
highlight, however, was hearing how Kathryn and Megan viewed their
controversial roles in Skins and what they felt about media
portrayal of young people."
"King Alfred School's students played a key role in the discussions
and were thoroughly deserving of their photo opportunity with
Kathryn and Megan!"
