New case of Swine Flu reported at Highbridge school

-

A pupil at King Alfred School in Highbridge was named as the second person in the Burnham area suffering from Swine Flu on Wednesday (July 8th).

Head teacher Keith Diffey told Burnham-On-Sea.com that a girl in Year 8 had been diagnosed with Swine flu.

“There are only two weeks to the end of term and I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw a couple more cases in that time,” he said.

Dr Diffey added that a letter would be issued to all parents on Thursday. Burnham-On-Sea.com was first to report on Tuesday the first case of Swine Flu at St John’s School.
