Greetings cards business
launched by enterprising Highbridge students
Enterprising
Sixth Form students at Highbridge's King Alfred School have formed
their own company selling greetings cards.
A
number of sixth formers, accompanied by several keen Year 11s,
have formed Kings Kards, selling quality handmade greeting cards
for all occasions.
They
have already received praise from the Young Enterprise Organisation
and are selling well at shops in Burnham town centre.
Lewis
Hassall, the Managing Director, is ably being supported by Clair
Sandilands and Charlotte Lockyer, who are both Operations Directors.
Lewis Tuck is the ICT Director, Ashley Lewis and Hannah Caulton
are Sales and Marketing Directors, Tara Moxey is in charge of
finance, while Megan Stokes is company secretary.
Emily
Sanders, Gemma Nash and Owen Jandrell of Year 11 are supporting
the company with a publicity programme.
Cards
cost just £2.00 and can be purchased in Burnham-On-Sea at
Rosemary's Florist, Sea Breeze, Material Needs and Purr-fect Pottery.
On
the last day of term, Kings Kards will be offering a St Valentines
Day postal service in school.
There
will be stalls in both A Block and B Block foyers for students
from all years to buy Valentines cards and have them delivered.
All
are welcome to attend a trade fair in Wells Town Hall on Saturday
7th February where the cards will also be on sale.
