Three people were hurt after two water skiers collided at a water park near Burnham-On-Sea on Saturday afternoon (September 26th).

Fire crews, police and ambulances were called to Middlemoor Water Park at 3.10pm, as pictured here.

Steve Cox, manager of the water park, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “A jet ski being ridden on the lake hit some waves and collided with another skier at the lakeside. It was a very unlucky incident that was a pure accident.”

He added that three people had been treated by ambulance crews – one with a suspected broken pelvis, one with a wrist injury and another with shock.

Three fire engines from Bridgwater and Burnham-On-Sea, plus a special rescue unit from Bridgwater and a rescue tender from Taunton were called to the scene.
