Thousands of pounds have been handed to local good causes by Burnham-On-Sea’s Moose International Lodge 123 during the group’s annual charity donations hand-out.

Brainwave and Burnham and Highbridge Gateway club each received donations at the group’s fun race night. Also, both Devon and Somerset Air Ambulance and Weston Hospice Care shared the pot of £9,000 at the lodge’s monthly meeting.

Money was collected at Tesco, Sanders Garden World, Welcome Break motorway services and Somerfield in addition to fundraising events during the past year.

Moose International is a fraternal organisation based on family values that raises money for local and national charities, and provides supports for each other. The lodge meets on the fourth Thursday of each calender month at 7.30pm in Berrow Village Hall.
