Burnham-On-Sea town councillor chosen as lodge’s new Governor

-

Burnham-On-Sea town councillor Eric Gill has this week been chosen as the new Governor of the town’s Moose International Lodge.

Retiring Governor Terry Cornelius handed over the role to Cllr Gill, while Dot Anderson became the group’s new President Lady, replacing retiring Yvonne Cornelius.

The event was celebrated at the group’s latest meeting and coincided with a charity presentation and buffet supper.

The Ladies’ Circle donated a combined £600 to Retinitus Pigmentosa, Visually Impaired Club, East Huntspill Pre-School, Burnham and Highbridge Sea Cadets, St John Ambulance Cadets, Moose Western Area Welfare and the Jordan Trust.

The Moose Brothers also gave a combined £460 to Jessie May Trust, the Community Medical Equipment Fund, Berrow Village Hall Association and The Shed Project.
