Makeover
of Burnham-On-Sea supermarket 'will be completed in July'

The
transformation of a Burnham-On-Sea supermarket from Somerfield
into Morrisons is set be completed early next month.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
understands staff have this week been told that Monday July 6th
is the target date for the Pier Street store to be officially
opened for the first time.
It
comes as workmen this week installed new Morrisons signage outside
the store, replacing the old branding, as pictured.
The
store will sell a wide range of goods, from fresh food and grocery
items, to home and leisure goods, as well as beers, wines and
spirits. It will also feature a so-called 'Market Street' of food
from dedicated butcher, baker and fishmonger counters.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
reported in May
that more than 350 local people had applied to work at the new-look
store, even though there are only 45 new positions to fill.
