Police are investigating an attempted break-in at the home of Burnham-On-Sea’s MP, David Heathcoat-Amory.

Mr Heathcoat-Amory, pictured, has praised police for their speedy action following the attempted break-in at his Pilton home.

The incident happened on January 27th when the Burnham-On-Sea MP and his wife were both away from the property.

“They tried to break through the front door but luckily the lock held and they could not get in,” explained Mr Heathcoat-Amory this week.

Police officers were called to the scene and an investigation is still underway.
