Attempted
break-in at Highbridge shop prompts police appeal

Police
have appealed for witnesses to come forward after an attempted
break-in at a shop in the centre of Highbridge early on Monday
morning (April 6th).
Officers
were called to the One Stop shop in Market Street at 12.15am after
a window was smashed at the front of the property, as pictured
here.
But
police believe the raiders were disturbed and they made off without
stealing any of the shop's produce.
Police
spokesman Wayne Baker told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "There was
an attempted break-in at a shop in Market Street overnight."
"Two
people were trying to break in at around 12.15am and caused some
damage to a door. It's thought they ran away from the scene."
He
added: "Anyone who saw anything suspicious at about this
time should contact Burnham-On-Sea police on 0845 456 7000 or
via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
