Couple's
kissing marathon comes to Burnham-On-Sea pier!

A
couple of serial snoggers who found love on a pier are touring
dozens of seaside towns to kiss on every pier - including Burnham-On-Sea's,
which they visited on Saturday (May 23rd).
Romantics
Hazel Costin and Jay Preller intend to smooch on all of Britain's
56 piers, finishing at Weston, where they could become the first
couple to marry at the new pavilion.
The
couple had their first kiss on Weston Pier and are writing a book
about their marathon journey.
They
visited Burnham on Saturday, as pictured, where they were welcomed
by manager Louise Parkin.
Hazel,
39, explained the reason behind their journey: "Jay and I
were Internet friends and decided to meet up for a coffee on the
pier in 2007. We wondered how many piers there are to have a kiss
on and decided to start touring round to see them all!"
"We
have done 40 so far, with Aberystwyth in Wales being our latest."
"We
tried to find a book about piers in Britain to help us, but there
wasn't one so while we are travelling we are writing one."
Hazel
and Jay, 51, a decorator, are photographing all the UK's piers
for the book, which will be called 'From Piers to Eternity'.
They
hope to finish their tour at Weston's Grand Pier and marry there
when it re-opens in May 2010 following last year's devastating
fire.
Louise
Parkin told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I was delighted to meet
Hazel and Jay - they seem a wonderful couple who are very interested
in piers. I wished them the very best for their trip and for the
future."
