In photos: Burnham fire and police crews hold community open day

Police and fire crews from Burnham-On-Sea held an open day in Highbridge on Thursday (May 28th) when these young visitors got a chance to see their work up close.

The event, held at the recently-opened community police pod in the car park outside Asda, also allowed local people to meet Inspector Sam Williams from Burnham Police Station.

Highbridge PCSO Claire Chambers told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "It was a great afternoon and all the visitors had a good time."

Among those present was Bob Telfer from Devon and Somerset Fire Service, who handed out fire safety advice, and Highbridge's local PCSOs and several pod volunteers, who discussed community issues and marked bikes and mobile phones.
