Repairs get underway at
Burnham-On-Sea swimming pool

Work
to repair Burnham-On-Sea's swimming pool is progressing well,
its owners said this week, and the facility should re-open next
Monday.
Burnham
Swim and Sports Academy has drained the Berrow Road pool and temporarily
closed it until February 23rd to allow repairs to its wall
and modernisation work elsewhere in the building.
It
comes after one wall of the pool partially collapsed last
December
when a large number of tiles came off the side.
"The
pool has been fully drained and the re-tiling work is progressing
to schedule," co-owner
Mark Cox-Conklin
told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week.
"We're
also re-tiling and painting the changing rooms, the cafe is getting
a revamp, and the conference room and business alley are getting
new flooring."
He
added that the cafe and shop continue to be open this week during
the maintenance work.
