Post boxes stolen from across Burnham-On-Sea area

Police are appealing for information following the theft of three Royal Mail post boxes in villages surrounding Burnham-On-Sea over the weekend.

The traditional red boxes were stolen from Cornmoor Crescent in East Huntspill, The Causeway in Mark and Mudgley Crossroads near Wedmore between between Friday 20th and Saturday 21st February.

"On each occasion the post box, stand and concrete fixing were removed, leaving a hole in the ground," said PS Steve Lawrence, who is the officer in the charge of the case.

"If anyone is concerned about items of post that were in these boxes, or has any other information which may assist the investigation, they should contact us."

"The police at Burnham-On-Sea can be contacted on 0845 456 7000 and Crimestoppers are on on 0800 555 111."
