Burnham-On-Sea pottery shop owner holds fundraising day

A Burnham-On-Sea pottery shop owner who suffers from Multiple Sclerosis will be holding a day of fundraising at her seafront shop this Saturday (March 21st) to raise funds for a charity that helps fellow sufferers.

Anya Burridge of Purrr-fect Pottery on the Esplanade will be donating £1 from every piece of pottery painted towards the West of England MS Therapy Centre.

"I am helping to raise money for the therapy centre in Nailsea because I have MS myself and have used it many times," Anya Burridge told

"The centre provides support and relief of symptoms to people with Multiple Sclerosis and their supporters. When I got diagnosed 10 years ago, my family and myself were devastated. Without the centre to visit, I don't know what would of happened."

"We hope this Saturday's event will raise a good sum for the centre - we will also be holding a raffle and thanks go to those local businesses and people who have given donations of prizes for it."

More donations are being gratefully accepted and raffle tickets can be purchased from Purrr-fect Pottery on 07739 740816. Prizes have been donated by Purrr-fect Pottery, Treasure Chest, Seabreeze, Tesco, Esplanade Fish Bar, Sentiments, Somerfield, Sanders Garden World, Zalshah Indian Restaurant, Asda and others.
