Police have this week appealed for witnesses following an altercation on Christmas Eve in Burnham-On-Sea.

At around 10.30pm two men were involved in an altercation outside the Reeds Arms Public House in Pier Street.

“Shortly afterwards, a man was pushed from behind and sustained a head injury,” a police spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.

Police would now like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time or witnessed this incident.

It comes just days after an appeal following a sexual assault on a teenager who had been at the pub the night before.

They are asked to contact police on 0845 456 7000 or the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111. Callers do not have to give their names and could qualify for a reward.
