Puddle
the otter recovering well at animal charity near Burnham-On-Sea

This
adorable otter cub is being looked after by carers at an animal
rescue charity near Burnham-On-Sea after getting separated from
its family during floods.
The
10-week-old animal, called Puddle, was brought to Secret World
in East Huntspill after getting into difficulty on a river near
York.
"She
was swept along a river in the floods and was found in a distressed
state almost unconscious on a river bank near York last week,"
Secret World's Pauline Kidner told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"She
was referred to us for special treatment and is now recuperating
well."
Puddle
is being fed trout and minced beef and has even been taking swimming
lessons in a bath at the animal charity's HQ, as pictured above.
Pauline
added: "She's putting on weight and is settling in very well
after a lot of distress."
She
added that another young otter cub that had been caught up in
the bad weather had also been brought to the charity over the
last few days and had sadly died.
