photos: Burnham women run for charity at Race For Life 2009

Dozens
of women from Burnham-On-Sea were among the 3,000 participants
who pulled on their running shoes for a good cause on Sunday (May
17th).
Thousands
of pounds was raised for Cancer Research UK at the annual Race
For Life, which was held on Weston Beach. Despite rain and cold
winds, the event was hailed a success by organisers.
A
number of Burnham women were among those taking part, as pictured
on this page. The participants walked, jogged or ran the five
kilometre route. The race was held in Weston for the sixth year
running and has raised more than £600,000 since it started
in 2004.
