Police hunt for three men
after attempted robbery in Burnham-On-Sea
Police
revealed on Monday (February 2nd) that three men may have been
involved in last week's attempted robbery at an antiques shop
in Burnham-on-Sea.
As
first reported by Burnham-On-Sea.com last
Friday afternoon (January 30th), the incident happened at
4.23pm at the shop in Victoria Street, pictured right.
"The
suspects two white men - approached the premises and tried
to force their way in past the owner. There was a scuffle and
the two men left the property empty-handed," a police spokesman
told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
"They
ran along Victoria Street and got into a parked silver coloured
car. It is possible there was a third man in the vehicle."
"The
car is then thought to have sped off in the direction of Brean
and is reported to have been driven at speed and erratically."
Police
are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the vehicle, especially
in the Brean area on Friday evening, and anyone able to help police
with their enquiries is urged to contact Taunton CID on 0845 456
7000.
