Work to build new Burnham-On-Sea roundabout set to begin

Work to build a new roundabout at a busy Burnham-On-Sea road junction is to begin next week.

Somerset County Council's Highways Department has confirmed that work to create the new mini roundabout at the junction of Pepperall Road and Burnham Road will start on Monday June 22nd.

Signs warning motorists of one week of delays have also appeared at the junction this week.

Once the work is complete, the soon-to-open Frank Foley Parkway will then be officially opened to the public.

Work to build the missing link, between Love Lane in Burnham and Pepperall Road in Highbridge, got underway in March, as reported here.
