One of the final pieces of work before next week’s long-awaited opening of Burnham-On-Sea’s Frank Foley Parkway was completed early on Thursday morning (July 2nd).

A new mini-roundabout has been completed at the junction of Pepperall Road and Burnham Road, near the southern end of the Frank Foley Parkway, as pictured.

Residents in the area have been left fuming this week due to noisy late night work connected with the work to finish the roundabout.

Work to build the ‘missing link’ between Burnham and Highbridge got underway in March, as reported here, and final plans are now being made for the grand opening, which is scheduled for 2.30pm on Tuesday (July 7th), as reported here.

Cllr John Edney, Chairman of Somerset County Council, will open the new section of road along with several Brent Knoll, Burnham and Highbridge councillors.
