Colourful Burnham-On-Sea scenes go on show at town exhibition

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s colourful coastline is featured in a new art exhibition that is currently underway in the town.

Local artist Graham McPherson is holding an exhibition at Sea Breeze gallery in Victoria Street.

He told Burnham-On-Sea.com: “I’m glad to be portraying something of the drama and atmosphere that we have here in Sedgemoor.”

“At dusk and dawn, the light can take on a magical quality that transforms the landscape creating a unique atmosphere that may only last for a few moments. My goal is that something of that atmosphere can be found in my paintings and photographs.”

Graham, pictured, added: “I like to use the technique of HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography to bring out as much detail in the images as I can and thus retain more of the original ‘atmospheric feel’ as possible. My hope is that people enjoy these images as much as I enjoyed producing them.”

The exhibition is being held at Sea Breeze until 4th April, and is open during normal gallery hours of 10am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, except Wednesday (early closing 2pm) and Saturday 10am-3pm. For further details, call 01278 783276.
