-

A day of non-stop fun is promised by Burnham-On-Sea Lions Club when the group holds its annual Family Fun Day on the town’s seafront this Saturday (July 18th).

The free event will be held on the South Esplanade from 11am-4pm and will include entertainment from six local groups, plus various attractions.

Attractions will include a mini roller-coaster, a land train, speedway bikes, hook a duck, skittles, a ball pit, a bouncy castle, face painting, a bicycle museum display, a judo and jujitsu display, a coconut shy, a juggling display, a barbecue, hamper raffle and charity stalls.

There will also be entertainment from the King Alfred School Band, an African Drum Band, the Wrinkly Wrappers, Dave & Co, King Alfred School Drama Group and the BEES drama group.

The star attraction will be a replica of Lewis Hamilton’s McLaren F1 car to fit a 5-9 year old, as reported here. There will be a raffle and the winner will ride in the car in the Burnham Carnival Procession this November.

Proceeds from Saturday’s event will go to this year’s main charity, ‘Carers’, and other Lions charities.
