Sheep
rescued from roadside ditch by
Burnham-On-Sea fire crew
Fire
crews were called to West Huntspill, near Burnham, on Wednesday
afternoon (June 3rd) after a sheep became stuck in a roadside
ditch.
Fire
engines from Burnham-On-Sea and Bridgwater, together with a special
rescue unit, were called at 4.16pm to Sloway Lane, as pictured
here.
"A sheep was stuck up to its neck in the water and was pulled
free using lines unharmed," fire spokesman Paul Slavin told
Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Our
photos show Burnham and Bridgwater fire crews at the scene on
Wednesday afternoon and, above, leading away the unharmed sheep
