Annual
Burnham-On-Sea shop window competition to be held in April
Burnham-On-Sea
Chamber of Trade will hold its annual 'Spot the Odd Item in the
Shop Window Competition' next month.
The
contest will be held at shops across the town between Saturday
April 4th and Saturday April 18th and the 'odd items' will be
goods that are not normally sold by the businesses taking part.
Entrants
will be encouraged to find as many items as possible in the windows,
with a recession-busting £100 cash and runners-up prizes
of shopping vouchers up for grabs.
Entry
forms will be available at the start of April from local schools,
participating shops, the Tourist Information Centre and via the
Chamber of Trade's official web page here on Burnham-On-Sea.com.
Alex Turco, Chairman, told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Any business
wishing to display an odd item should contact me as soon as possible
and in any event no later than Saturday March 21st to reserve
their place on 01278 788646 or by email."
"The
competition is an excellent way to raise awareness of your business,
which is more important than usual during this recession, since
it makes potential customers visit your premises and look into
shop windows. Any Burnham-On-Sea town centre business can take
part."
