Sky-diving
Rosemary is ready for her 15,000ft fundraising feat!
A
plucky Burnham-On-Sea woman is
making final preparations to perform a tandem skydive in aid of
a local charity this Friday (June 12th).
Rosemary
Le-Marchand, 56, will travel to Devon's Dunkerswell Airfield to
leap out of a plane at 15,000 feet in aid of the Freewheelers
Bloodbikes.
"I'm
not nervous at all," she told Burnham-On-Sea.com this week.
"I did a similar jump many years ago and know what to expect!"
"It
is an incredibly exhilarating experience that you never forget.
The Bloodbikes are an excellent cause and I hope to raise a good
amount for them."
Allan
Roberts, from the Freewheelers Bloodbikes, said: "We are
exceptionally grateful to Rosemary and wish her all the best for
Friday's jump. Funding like this is greatly appreciated."
To
sponsor Rosemary, who works for the Post Office, either call in
at Highbridge Post office or visit her fundraising page here.
The
Freewheelers Emergency Voluntary Service, based in the South West,
provides an out-of-hours emergency motorcycle courier service
to hospitals across the region.
