Burnham-On-Sea's annual Smile Walk set to be held this Sunday

Organiser Becky SaundersDozens of walkers dressed in fancy dress will be striding along Burnham's seafront on Sunday (June 14th) when the town's Smile Walk takes place.

The fundraising event, now in its fourth year, usually draws dozens of walkers and raises thousands of pounds for a school in India.

Organiser Becky Saunders, pictured, told this week: "We hope as many people will take part as possible, and help to raise a few smiles here in Burnham and on the faces of some of the world's poorest children at Peter Gilliard Memorial School in Rajahmundry, India."

Sunday's walk will start from Burnham jetty at 2.00pm. The walkers will wander along Thye Esplanade to the town bandstand, then come back past the jetty to the Sailing Club, before returning to the jetty.

There will also be music from Burnham and Highbridge Band, refreshments for the walkers and smiley-faced balloons supplied by Sentiments.
