Hundreds
raised for charity at Burnham-On-Sea Smile Walk

More
than 40 colourfully dressed walkers strode out for charity when
Burnham-On-Sea's annual Smile Walk took place on Sunday afternoon
(June 14th).
The
popular fancy dress walk started next to the town's jetty and
the walkers made their way along The Esplanade, past the pier,
before returning and taking in the Southern Esplanade and Sailing
Club.
This year's event was accompanied by live music from the town
band and balloons and refreshments were laid on for the participants.
Proceeds
from the event will go to the Peter Gilliard Memorial School in
India and organiser Becky Saunders (pictured right) told Burnham-On-Sea.com
she was delighted with how the event had gone.
"The
walk went really well - we had a great turnout, great weather
and there was a fun atmosphere. Thanks go to everyone who helped
make it another success," she said.
