Burnham-On-Sea set for more snow tonight and Thursday

-

Snow
has begun falling again in Burnham-On-Sea this evening (Wednesday February 4th) as the town braces itself for a possible heavy downfall overnight into Thursday.

A severe weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for our area, with further downfalls predicted.

Forecasters predict a band of snow will fall this evening and early tomorrow, with temperatures plunging to below freezing overnight.

The flurries may continue through the morning and into the afternoon on Thursday.

“Further snow spreading in from the south may give accumulations of 2 to 5 cm, perhaps 10 cm over higher ground, and this will cause disruption to travel across the region,” a Met Office spokesman told Burnham-On-Sea.com.
