Burnham-On-Sea braced for
possible snowfall this week
Burnham-On-Sea
could see wintry scenes like these this week, when the town is
forecast to get a covering of snow.
The
Met Office is predicting Burnham and the rest of the West Country
could see temperatures falling well below zero on Monday and Tuesday,
when easterly winds bring in sleet and snow.
A
few flakes fell in Burnham during the afternoon on Sunday (February
1st), but there was not enough to settle.
Burnham last saw a decent covering of snow in April
2008. There were also falls in March
2006 and December 2005.
