Burnham-On-Sea
supermarket will get 'Morrisons makeover' in April
Somerfield
has announced the date when its seafront supermarket in Burnham-On-Sea
will close in order for refurbishment work to begin as it becomes
a Morrisons store.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
first reported in January
that the Somerfield store in Pier Street is being rebranded after
a change of ownership.
This
week, posters have appeared outside the store, as pictured, stating
that it will close for refurbishment on Wednesday 8th April. It
is expected to close for several days while it is given a 'Morrisons
makeover'.
Staff
currently working there will join Morrisons following the handover.
The store was sold by the Co-Operative Group, subject to agreement
from the Office of Fair Trading.
Burnham-On-Sea.com
first reported
in January 2008 rumours that the store was up for sale. The
reports were denied at the time.
