In
photos: Large crowds attend St John's Church fair in Highbridge
Celebrations
to mark the 150th year of St John's Church in Highbridge continued
on Saturday (June 20th) when it held its annual summer fair.
Sunny
weather attracted large crowds to the event, which was held at
St John's School.
They
enjoyed an afternoon of live music, and a wide range of stalls
and entertainment from local groups and charities.
The
fair was opened by Burnham-On-Sea and Highbridge's Deputy Mayor
Danny Titcombe and Deputy Mayoress Jo Hughes, alongside Julian
Luttrell, the former Vice Chairman of Air Ambulance.
Reverend
Robin Lodge told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "Mr Luttrell is a descendant
of Mary Anne Poole, whose donation led to the construction of
the church 150 years ago, so it was wonderful to have him here
today."
