Laptop
and camera stolen in break-in at Burnham-On-Sea school
Mean
thieves stole a laptop computer and a digital camera from a school
in Burnham-On-Sea last weekend.
Police
have this week issued an appeal for information following the
break-in at St
Joseph's School.
Sgt
Ian Kennett of Burnham Police told Burnham-On-Sea.com: "I
would ask for anyone who lives near to local schools to keep their
eyes open and report anything suspicious."
"It
is a shame for young people to have their school equipment stolen.
I would like to seek the support of the community to stop this
from happening again."
Officers
have carried out house to house inquiries and are working with
local schools to increase security. They would like anyone who
is offered a black Toshiba laptop to let them know so they can
check the security number.
Anyone
with information can contact Burnham police on 0845 456 7000 or
the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
