Join in Burnham-On-Sea Tennis Club’s centenary celebrations

-

Burnham-On-Sea’s Avenue Tennis Club will be marking its 100th anniversary this weekend with two days of celebratory events – and members of the public are invited to join in.

The club is holding a Centenary Open Day on Saturday (September 19th), starting at 11am, when families will be offered free coaching, as well as other non-sporting activities.

Sarah Coles from ‘Music with Mummy’ will be holding a children’s teddy bear picnic, fun musical instrument sessions and parachute games. And club member and magician Richard Ballinger will perform tricks.

There will also be a bouncy castle, tennis racket displays, sports clothing sale, Lucozade tasting stall, hot and cold refreshments, plus a bar.

On Sunday September 20th, a free junior and adult tennis competition, for entrants aged 11 years and up, will be held from 11am.

And then on Saturday September 26th the celebrations will come to an end with a black tie Centenary Ball featuring local band Riverbrew.

For more information on any of the events contact the club on 01278 782758.
